YOU'RE STILL HERE


The trees saw their leaves fall
And painted a thousand sunsets
The snow fell, the time crawled
But on the wind’'s the voice I can'’t forget
And in my heart your memories remain

Your scent is still in the air
Asleep I still call your name
Years have left me but your absence hurts the same
Tears still running on my face
That I couldn'’t hide that day
Time’'s tortured me, but your love my heart still claims
No one but you is in my veins

The skies saw the haze rise
And darken a thousand Fridays
The nights came, the days died
But in my heart this pain alive remains
And on your grave the roses I once left

My heart’'s not been able to realize
I’'m just so unable to say good bye​

That's pretty intense and strong.
The pain of losing someone and yet no erasing wounds.
I loved it

 

Although this is a tragic poem, I can't even describe how beautifully written is, the emotions, It was like.....I could feel your pain, your suffering. You couldn't let her go, you can't let her go. You're still attached to that love.
