Cantar del niño de hierro

Del vientre de la tierra
nace el niño como el hierro
tan sucio, como noble y puro.
Después se lo extrae de la madre,
para poder convertirlo en hombre
bajo el calor de una hoguera.

Habiendo sido el niño templado
se olvida de su origen y su nombre;
y para nombrarle al fin como acero
