    En una mañana al correr de las horas
    En un escondrijo revuelto de donas
    Asoma su rostro, un triste mendigo
    La mirada distante, sus ojos hundidos
    La jornada comienza, la noche fue dura
    araña siniestra en su guarida
    Temeroso del nuevo día
    Al sol reverente saluda
    ¡Que hoy no me falte la migaja del día!
    Lamiendo sus manos asea su palma
    Coloso de rondas camina con calma
    Extiende su mano escuálida diestra
    Y fantasean sus ojos con una moneda
    -Dadme una limosna hijos del mundo
    Soy forastero y he perdido el rumbo
    El rumbo de esta vida tan cabal con algunos
    Tan mezquina con otros, tan cruel como un verdugo
    Lisonjas nunca tuve
