I am thy singing raven

Your closed eyes
Are a peaceful tomb for my sepulchral sadness
The warm sheets that cover my soul
The one and unique motive of my madness.

Your frozen image
Break my chains of pain
As dead leaves shiver
With the fall of November rain.

Your lips seem like a sleeping rose
Hiding his velvet face soon
From the silver bright
Of the graceless moon,
Eternally quiet
Like a forgotten tune.

Blinding my self to thy crystalline beauty
Would be a grave-willing sin
Who could not crave
The silk of thy milky skin?

I can’t help dropping
A bleaky tear
Finding in the gloom
The sweet smell of thy golden hair.

The obscure in my soul
Lies dying for your embrace
I carry these clumsy wings
And bend them over the kindness of your grace.

I would sink in the perfumed waters
Of your charming marble pale
And drown in the grasp of your blue blood,
Feeling the delicate hand of Doom
Building my sanctuary of stone from this room.

Gracias a los tres. No suelo escribir en inglés pero el acabado final me encanta. Suena de otra manera (y eso que el idioma es el único valor patrio que defiendo)...

Aunque me toma el doble de tiempo rodeándome de diccionarios y demás, pero creo que luego merece la pena.

De todas formas creo que no hay muchos aficionados a los idiomas en mundopoesia...

 

Precioso poema que debía resucitar.
